Ministry of Culture is awarding upto 400 scholarships to young artists of outstanding promise for advance training  with their guru/institutes in different cultural fields including Indian classic music, Indian Classical Dance, Theater, Mime, Visual art, Folk, Traditional and Indigenous Arts and Light Classical Music.

Eligibility:
  • Candidate should be and Indian National
  • Candidate should have an adequate general education to pursue their training effectively.
  • Candidate must give evidence of their desire to make the pursuit of their training effectively.
  • As the scholarships are meant for advanced training and not for beginners, candidates must have already acquired a degree of proficiency in the chosen field.
  • The candidate should have undergone a minimum five years training with their guru/instutution. the certificate this effect is part II of the performa duly signed by the present guru/Institute former guru / institute should be submitted along with the application.
  • The candidates age should not be less then 18 and more than 25.
Scholarships : 400

Duration : Two Years

Details : Each scholar will be paid 5000/- per month for a period of two years to cover his/her living expense on traveling, books, art material or other training charges. Selection criteria on merit only.
